Celebrating love and diversity, this group exhibition assembles a fantastic selection of letterpress posters from around Aotearoa and the world. The works display a contemporary spin on the tradition of letterpress from professional printers, artists, and hobbyists. Letterpress is steeped in a tradition that traces its origins to Johann Gutenberg invention of the printing press in the early 1400s. The printing press accelerated the spread of knowledge and the dissemination of new ideas, changing the world forever. The craft of handset type continues to inspire and delight audiences and makers with its endless creative possibilities.
