Pride & Spark Empowerment Initiative

In 2022 the Pride & Spark Empowerment Initiative supported 22 events across the Auckland Pride Festival and ensured that our diverse communities were resourced to participate in Pride - and were supported through the cancellation of the Festival.

In 2023, the Pride & Spark Empowerment Initiative has returned to support even more community events in Pride thanks to our wonderful partners at Spark NZ.

Please ensure you've read the eligibility criteria in the Festival Registration Information Document before applying.

Event Information
Organising an event in a previous Auckland Pride Festival isn't a requirement, but if you have - tell us about it!
Benefit to Takatāpui & Rainbow Communities

Please describe how your event helps Auckland Pride to achieve its strategic vision:

An equitable Aotearoa where Takatāpui and Rainbow Communities are liberated, thriving, and connected.

Funding
You can apply for a maximum of $2,000
Please also give us a break down of your costs and income, or attach a budget below.
Do you have any sponsors or funders of the event already? If so, name them and their contribution
